Steven Wright was born into a Christian family and grew up in Baltimore County, Maryland. He earned degrees at Wake Forest University (B.A., Philosophy) and Westminster Theological Seminary in California (M.A., Theology).
After seminary, Steven returned to Baltimore to help open and manage a Christian bookstore. He was active in ministries at Timonium Presbyterian Church and taught on the faculty of Chesapeake Theological Seminary. In 1999, Steven moved to Jackson, Mississippi, to manage the bookstore at Reformed Theological Seminary. It was there that he met and married his wife, Allegra.
Steven served as pastor of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana from 2007 until his call to Covenant Presbyterian Church in 2015. He and Allegra rejoice in being married and blessed with four children. In his spare time, Steven enjoys spending time with his family, reading Wendell Berry books, and watching college basketball during March Madness.
